When it boils down to it, all great shows come to an end. Ninjago is not an exception.

But why so soon? Why, after a mere three seasons (26 or 30 episodes) does Ninjago have to die?

It used to be that shows were respected, and generally stayed on for three or four years. If they had high ratings and popularity, as Ninjago did, then six or seven years.

But we've reached the WHITE FLAG movement of the animation industry. Let's face it, Cartoon Network's been beating its fanbase senselessly for the past five years. The downfall of Toonami, the loss of Cartoon Cartoons, the introduction of live-action "CN Real" and the (most recently) the complete disrespectful postponement of DC Nation.

So it's not much of a surprise that Ninjago ends so soon. CN just doesn't have the intelligence it used to.

What is true, and what is rumor? Is Chima replacing Ninjago? Will Ninjago ever come back? Was Season 4 just a fan's dream? Did Kevin Hickle speak the truth when he said Chima would make us wish Ninjago would've ended sooner?

Truth: Chima is replacing Ninjago, television-wise. However, in terms of LEGO sets, Ninjago will be promoted for one more year, and a new wave will be released in January.

Rumor: Chima is going to suck. Why? The LEGOs don't even LOOK LIKE FRICKEN' LEGOS!

Truth: Chima might actually be decent. If we're going by Kevin's words here, then it will be great! And the anthropomorphic LEGOs are still the same build and form, except each is different depending on their animal tribe (Bird, Lion, Crocodile).

Rumor: Season 4 is going to be about the Purple Ninja, Lord Garmadon will return.

Truth: I think everyone's realized by this point that Garmadon is good. And the Purple Ninja? Really?

Rumor: Chima will include Spinjitsu.

Truth: I have no idea. I honestly don't think so (not trying to create another rumor here!), but I do know some things about Chima. There are factions of animal tribes that once were at peace, but now are at war with each other. They are fighting over the power known as Chi, which is the source of all life, but can also lead to destruction. Legends of Chima focuses on the courageous few who know the truth about Chi, and those who want to kill them. (Source: Brickipedia [link]) Doesn't seem like there'll be room for Spinjitsu, but hey, you never know. We might get an Easter egg (I.E., the mention of Clutch Powers in "The Royal Blacksmiths" or the so-called Tornado of Creation in "The Empire Strikes Out.")

So, before you freak, before you write angry e-mails to LEGO, telling them they've made the biggest mistake of their lives, STOP.
LISTEN.
This is not the end of LEGO. Nor is it the end of Ninjago. In all likelihoods, I bet you we'll see Ninjago again in a few years. After all, Ninjago was based off a previous LEGO set known as Ninja. And Legends of Chima signifies that LEGO has officially gained a treasured place in Cartoon Network's tiny heart.

Which means we'll probably be getting LEGO cartoons for quite a while.

I'll see you all in 2013, watching Legends of Chima. Oh, and to save time, I recommend changing the name of this group to CNLego, just so all Cartoon Network LEGO shows can be found in one place.

Have a safe and glorious Thanksgiving. I hope your food is made by Zane.Ninja... slip away... with hot dog.
